Grannie Ani’s Job Forecast 2030

Grannie Ani’s Job Forecast 2030

In less than three U.S. presidential cycles, in the year 2030, Baby Boomers born between 1946 to 1954, [identified as Boomers] will be close to, or looking back at age 80! Think on that for a minute! No amount of hair color, exercise, surgery, or viagra is going to change that fact.

Geriatric” is not a fashionable word today, but by 2030, it will definitely be trendy. After all, there will be well over 50 million seniors who need all kinds of geriatric services. Grannie Ani is urging younger generations to be prepared.

For example,” Grannie says, “finding a Geriatric Physician in 2030 won’t be a joke. By that time, there will be a shortage of over 100,000 doctors in the U.S. with ten thousand Boomers enrolling in Medicare each day. You can see the problem here.”

Grannie predicts that unfortunately fast food and fast fashion will still be popular, even with younger generations, but comfort foods, comfortable natural-fiber clothes, and breathable rubber-soled, toe-expandable shoes will be all the rage among seniors.

I see a whole industry of Boomer mobility accessories,” says Grannie. “From custom, personalized walking canes to ten-speed wheelchairs, this crop of senior Boomers will never accept the same dark, drab apparatus so familiar to their Silent generation parents. Bor-ing!!!”

With millions of Boomers depending on younger generations for their maintenance and care, Grannie Ani sees new career opportunities on the horizon.

Besides the geriatric physicians that will be in fierce demand in 2030,” smiles Grannie confidently, “there will be an insatiable need for:

Body organ harvesters

Custom prosthetic designers

Transplant transportation specialists

International organ brokers

Hoarding specialists and residential demolishers

Funeral planners

Personal archivists able to sort through three generations of family treasures;

And

Short-term, special-needs motel franchises specializing in elder care, located near transportation hubs while the family is away on business or on vacation.”

I was aghast. I looked her straight in her eyes. “Are you kidding? I asked.

Grannie Ani winked and said,. “Of course!” Then she paused. “Not!”
