GoldiLocks Saves The Three Bears

Once upon a time in the near future, there was a little girl named
Goldi, who lived on a lovely cul d sac, near a wild animal reserve.
Goldi, being a member of Generation Z, had been studying Climate
Change since she was in nursery school. But her parents, Mr. and
Mrs. Locks who both worked long hours trying to stay up with Inflation,
were always too busy to listen to their precocious daughter.
Every summer, Goldi did volunteer work at the animal reserve. All of
the animals loved her, especially the bears. You see, Goldi Locks
was always smiling--bright and chipper--even on the days when the
sky was so filled with noxious, gray smoke from a nearby industrial
plant, that the animals could barely breathe. And she was always
kind.

One day at breakfast, Papa Locks announced that they had received
an offer for their little house that would make them very, very rich. “We
can move to a better neighborhood,” said Papa with glee. “And Goldi
can go to a better school.”
Where are we moving to, Papa? I don’t want to go!” she whined,
totally confused.
Papa Locks explained that a really big development company had
bought the wild animal reserve in order to build a multi-million-dollar
soccer stadium. They wanted the rest of the land for parking, a hotel
and maybe a casino.
Goldi, being a very perceptive child, knew that arguing with Papa
Locks was useless. Besides, Papa Locks had no control over the

decisions of the gigantic development company that was set to
destroy the animal reserve.
When Goldi went to work that day, she found out that the sale was not
a secret. Everyone was going to get paid! The animal reserve
director was going to join the management team of the development
company. Her assistant got a great job referral and severance pay.
And most of the animals would be placed on other reserves.
“But the families will all be separated,” protested Goldi, “even the three
bears! That’s like what happed during American slavery!”
Goldi Locks was incensed. She figured that she had 30-days to come
up with a plan to save her friends, the three bears. Every day she
visited the bears, reporting her progress.
Goldi and a few conservation-minded friends developed the
save3bears.com website. It was a perfect complement to the 3Bears
GoFundMe page. By the time of the Tick Tok introduction to Goldi’s
bear family, there were offers of refuge from all over the world. Some
even propositioned Goldi Locks to be the agent or manager of the
three newly world-famous bears.
As a new Influencer, Goldi Locks was able to start a foundation for the
preservation of bears that is now closely allied with the Wildlife
Conservation Society. She is a sought-after speaker all over the world
while she works toward her Ph.D. in Biological Sciences.
